Everything you need to know about humidifiers

Ultrasonic Humidifiers

If you're looking for something high-tech, try an ultrasonic humidifier.  They use a process called ultrasonic vibration to produce a mist.  Like cool mist humidifiers, this process does not create any heat.

Some people choose ultrasonic humidifiers because they appreciate the fact that they are completely quiet to operate.  They're also safe to use around small children, because the water stays cool and can't burn them.

However, ultrasonic humidifiers have some downsides.  They can quickly produce bacteria and other impurities, and these can be distributed into the air.  For safest operation (and depending on the model), use a clean humidifier filter, distilled water, and possibly a mineral decontamination kit, and always follow the instructions.
